Teach Your Children About Christianity The Fun Way
Many children would look at christianity as though it were something really plain and boring like just sitting on hard rock benches while singing songs of praise to the almighty God, and they never really associated it with fun and laughter. Adults know too well that christianity is not only about being in church and doing activities in the church, we all know that there is more to christianity than just serving the Lord on Sundays, but we cannot blame the kids for thinking otherwise. Parents should always make sure that their kids do not only have their thoughts about christianity in that kind of sense, but make them understand as to how wide the concept of the religion is, as well as the values that the religion teaches them to have in life. It has always been a difficult job to let your kids understand, especially if they have already developed a sense of opinion among several concepts, but down below are a few guidelines that you can use in order for you to make your children learn more about the religion and their faith in general.
Let the kids volunteer to help those who are homeless
In order for a believer of the Lord to uphold all of the things the religion and their faith teaches them, they have to be able to give a hand to those who are in need and those who are less fortunate than them so that they can extend the hand of the almighty savior to those who need help. Homeless shelters usually need help and need more assistance during those busy times of the whole year, which is why some volunteer to give out their hearts and lend a hand to those who are unfortunate in life. In order for you to have your children embody the values and teachings of the kind of faith that you have, bringing them to these volunteer programs can be a big help, since they will have their own personal experiences and can greatly accumulate as much knowledge and understanding as they can from the experience. The children must also understand all those other important teachings and values aside from helping those who are less fortunate than they are, and they should be able to comprehend how christians do not only give out their hands, but that they are capable of doing more good for the sake of humanity. A lot of volunteers usually do things like:
Meeting as well as greeting them.
Preparing all of the food they are going to eat.
Handling them the food they have to eat and the
drinks they have to intake.
Washing up the whole mess after the meals are served.
Lending a hand for all those cleaning duties that should be done afterwards.
Another fun way would be arranging scavenger hunts during Christmas and giving the kids some christmas scavenger hunt clues.
